Pay Range
$41.10 - $61.65
Major Responsibilities:
Performance of a comprehensive array of sophisticated non-invasive procedures demonstrating the appropriate anatomy of interest.
1)Independently provides complete and accurate images for diagnostic purposes.
Documentation of patient history.
3)Communicates "Wet Read" reports to physician offices.
1)Records patient medical information.
2)Explains the test procedures to the patient.
Ensures a secure and safe patient and work environment by maintaining a continued awareness of safety hazard labels.
1)Complies with procedural standards in the care of our patient population.
2)Assists with proper positioning of patients as necessary(protective measures).
3)Cleans, prepares, and sanitizes all transducers according to manufacturer recommendations and established infection control standards.
4)Applies sterile techniques and prevents cross contamination to patients and instruments.
5)Maintains adequate supplies for the needs of the Ultrasound Department.
Provides technical support for smooth and efficient operation of the Ultrasound Department.
1)Provides encounter forms for completed procedures which are ready for billing.
2)Communicates with other departments to successfully schedule various exams for the patient.
3)Interacts closely with the site Manager providing for a smooth daily operation of the department.
4)Attends regularly scheduled department meetings and in-services.
5)Helps in answering telephones and scheduling patients as needed.
Responsible for staying abreast with the latest ultrasound developments.
1)Obtains membership in local, state, or national societies.
2)Attends continuing education seminars.
3)Maintains professional accreditation.
4)Participates in CQI projects.
