The Assembler II will work in various assembly areas, supporting both internal and external customers. This role requires teamwork, accountability to the production supervisor, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Perform electronic assembly and repair, including surface mount, through-hole, soldering, and de-soldering.
Use measuring and test equipment, as well as hand tools (air drivers, screwdrivers, wrenches, presses, fixtures).
Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
Support continuous improvement initiatives for quality, productivity, and growth.
Ensure compatibility and safety of electrical systems.
High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
Must live within 50 miles of Torrance, CA.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Ability to read and understand schematics and manufacturing drawings.
Previous electronics manufacturing and hand-soldering experience.
12 years of hand-soldering experience.
Sit for up to 8 hours per day.
Continuous hand, arm, and shoulder movement; fine finger dexterity required.
Frequent lifting up to 10 lbs; occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
Extended periods of sitting while assembling.
Visual requirements: safety glasses, ability to read prints, inspect work, and identify components by color.
Basic computer and math skills required.
Continuous machine noise.
Exposure to chemicals, flux, thinner, and solder fumes.
Indoor facility, first floor.
Regular overtime required.
Work space may be limited (23 feet).
Safety glasses (mandatory).
ESD smock (mandatory during assembly).
Protective gloves (for specific tasks).
