Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 0-12+ Months
Shift: 1st and 2nd shift ( 1st: 6am -2: 30pm 2nd: 2pm -10pm)
Pay: $20/hour-$21/hour

Title: Gas Turbine Mechanic

Position Summary
- Troubleshoot, test, assemble, and disassemble aero equipment.
- Perform visual inspections of aero equipment.
- Assist in repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment.
- Perform required tests with minimal instruction.
- Provide technical support across the business.
- Follow all HS&E (Health, Safety & Environment) policies.
- Use hand, pneumatic, and hydraulic tooling.
- Use precision measuring equipment accurately, including:
- ID micrometers
- OD micrometers
- Depth micrometers
- Calipers
- Follow detailed work routers for inspection and repair of units and rotating equipment.
- Work effectively as part of a team while meeting time constraints.
- Work with complex machining and assembly drawings.
Qualifications / Required Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Familiarity with hand tools.
- Familiarity with pneumatic tools.
- Familiarity with hydraulic tools.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment.
- Ability to use ID/OD/depth micrometers and calipers accurately.
- Ability to independently understand and interpret complex machining drawings.
- Ability to independently understand and interpret assembly drawings.
- Ability to follow detailed work routers/instructions.
- Ability to inspect and repair units and rotating equipment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work accurately under time constraints.
- Ability to work with minimal instruction.
- Knowledge/understanding of HS&E policies and safety requirements.
