Gas Turbine Mechanic
Job Type: W2 Contract
Contract Duration: 6 Months, Possible Extension
Work Location: Houston, TX 77073
Work Setting: Fully Onsite
Pay Rate: $25.00/hour

Seeking an experienced Gas Turbine Mechanic to troubleshoot, test, assemble, disassemble, inspect, and repair rotating equipment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, experience with gas turbine overhauls, and the ability to interpret technical drawings while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, test, assemble, disassemble, and inspect rotating equipment.
• Perform repairs and modifications on non-conforming equipment.
• Conduct testing activities with minimal supervision.
• Utilize hand, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools safely and effectively.
• Use precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, depth gauges, and calipers.
• Interpret machining and assembly drawings.
• Follow detailed work instructions and repair procedures.
• Provide technical support as needed.
• Support on-site service activities when required.
• Comply with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of overhaul and repair experience with industrial gas turbines, including experience with at least one of the following:
  • GE10
  • PGT10
  • PGT25
  • Frame 3
  • Frame 5
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of HSE requirements and safety procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet production deadlines.
