USA - Bench Scientist - I - USD

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Bench Scientistfor a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Pearl River, NY, 10965.Details of the position are as follows: 
 
Job Description: 

• Pay: $42.50/hr to start.
• 1 year contract to start with the possibility of extension or conversion based on budget and performance.
• Position will mainly be responsible for conducting laboratory experiments, preparing and analyzing samples, operating laboratory instruments, performing routine testing, and supporting research and development activities.
• Responsibilities also include recording experimental procedures and results, following GLP, SOPs, and laboratory safety guidelines, maintaining accurate documentation, preparing samples, and keeping the laboratory clean and organized.
• Position will also be responsible for working with scientists to troubleshoot experiments, reviewing and interpreting data, supporting project goals, and assisting with daily laboratory operations.

• Bachelors degree at a minimum is required!
• 2+ years’ experience within a biotech/pharma/ academic research setting is preferred.
• Experience in a BSL2 environment is preferred.
• Experience with ELISA, Neutralization assays, Luminex, cell culture, functional antibody assay.
