Contracts and Purchasing Coordinator 

Location: Cambridge, MA (Hybrid – onsite Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
Pay: Starting at $30/hr
Duration: Until the end of the year 

Job Details:

The Contracts Coordinator will support procurement and contract administration activities by processing purchase order requests, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and ensuring timely completion of purchasing transactions. This role works closely with business owners, procurement, finance, and legal teams to support contract and purchase order workflows.

Responsibilities:

  • Process contract requests and generate purchase orders (POs)
  • Track purchase order requests from initiation through completion
  • Monitor PO status and follow up with stakeholders to prevent delays
  • Verify contract values against purchase order values
  • Apply appropriate financial/account coding to procurement requests
  • Coordinate with business owners, procurement, finance, and legal teams
  • Maintain accurate records within purchasing systems
  • Support special projects and additional administrative activities as needed

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 5+ years of business experience preferred
  • Experience with purchase order creation and processing
  • Experience with procurement, purchasing, or Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with procurement systems such as SAP, Ariba, Coupa, Oracle, Workday, or similar preferred
