Job Title:AWS Cloud Engineer
Job Description:
•Build and maintain Node.js and Java backend services and REST APIs on AWS.
•Provision AWS serverless infrastructure using reusable Terraform modules.
•Develop event-driven workflows and integrate AWS data and messaging services.
•Deploy and support applications on ROSA/OpenShift through CI/CD pipelines.
•Collaborate on testing, troubleshooting, security, and production support.
•Review infrastructure and application changes for reliability and security.
Work description :Predominantly back-end engineering tasks related to State Farms cloud (AWS) contact center environment. Responsibilities include working within the following tech stack: Area Technologies Frontend: React| JavaScript| TypeScript| Backend: APIs ROSA| Java| REST APIs Cloud: AWS (Lambda| Step Functions| API Gateway| DynamoDB| S3| OpenSearch) Event-Driven Architecture: EventBridge| Kinesis| SNS| SQS| asynchronous messaging Al & GenAl: Amazon Bedrock| AgentCore| Al Agents| Prompt Engineering| Orchestration Frameworks (e.g.| Strands| LangGraph) DevOps: Git| CI/CD| Automated Testing Engineering Practices: API Design| Security| Scalability| Observability| Performance Optimization Delivery: Agile/Scrum| Cross-functional CollaborationBusiness Knowledge:Knowledge of cloud contact center functionality and use cases would be beneficial. Other background in insurance and financial services will be helpful.Technical Skills:see the technical stack outlined above. Technical skills involve the following: * Creating/Maintaining APls (REST| OpenAPI specs) - Client are migrating to Java * Writing and updating OpenSearch queries| including other relational and noSQL databases (RDS| DynamoDB| etc.) * Lambdas and Step Functions In addition| engineers are responsible for partnership and collaboration to test systems across teams.
Skills Required:
•Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and AWS serverless services, especially Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, SNS, SQS, and EventBridge.
•Backend development using Node.js and Java, including REST APIs and event-driven integrations.
•Experience deploying and supporting containerized applications on ROSA/OpenShift.
•Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD, automated testing, security, and observability.
•Basic exposure to GenAI services such as Amazon Bedrock is preferred.
•Understanding of IAM roles, secrets management, and secure cloud configuration.
•Experience developing reusable Terraform modules and managing remote state securely.
