Job Title: Logistics Payment Specialist


Bill rate: ***/hr

Location:
Hoboken, NJ


Job Type: Hybrid role reporting onsite in Hoboken, NJ on 3-days per week with Tuesday as a mandatory day each week. Current duration expectation is 6 months with the potential for extension and/or FT hire for the right candidate.


We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Payment Specialist to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our logistics billing operations.


Job Summary:


The Logistics Payment Specialist will be responsible for reviewing, verifying, and processing logistics invoices to ensure timely and accurate payment. This role involves working closely with carriers, external service providers, and various internal teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate records.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Review and verify freight invoices for accuracy and compliance with contracts and agreements.

  • Process freight and accessorial invoices using internal systems and ensure timely payment.

  • Reconcile freight invoices with shipment records and resolve any discrepancies.

  • Communicate with carriers and vendors to address and resolve billing issues.

  • Collaborate with various internal teams to improve invoice processing procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in transportation operations, or a similar role.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Familiarity with freight billing and carrier contracts.

  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
