Join our dynamic team in Tallmadge, OH, where you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to prepare, pack, and process shipments, manage inventory, and ensure a safe and organized warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, pack, label, and process domestic and international shipments according to company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Receive incoming materials, inspect deliveries for accuracy and condition, and complete necessary documentation.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Support hazardous material and air freight shipping activities in compliance with International Air Transportation (IATA) and DOT certifications.
- Maintain organized warehouse storage locations and ensure materials are properly identified and stored.
- Utilize SAP and other systems to manage inventory and track shipments.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory control activities.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, carriers, and logistics partners to resolve shipping and receiving issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, or material handling operations.
- Working knowledge of packing, loading, shipping, and receiving processes.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions, correspondence, shipping documents, and safety procedures.
- Basic written communication and record-keeping skills.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and inventory-related tasks.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience using warehouse or inventory management systems.
Preferences:
- International Air Transportation (IATA) certification and experience with hazardous air shipments.
- DOT shipping knowledge and experience with road/trucking regulations.
- SAP experience is a plus but not required.
