DPP is seeking a Usability Designer for an opportunity with our client in the healthcare insurance industry.
 
Work location: Partial onsite Tues., Wed., Thurs. and as needed
Duration: 12 months
Terms: W2 contract
Work authorization: Candidates must be eligible to earn a low-level (Public Trust) US security clearance.
 
Position summary:
On a typical day, the Usability Designer could be working on one or more of the following for a particular project:
  • Conducting user research to gain insights into user behavior, preferences, and pain points.
  • Creating user personas to help them understand and empathize with the user, and to design solutions that meet their needs.
  • Creating wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that help to guide the development of the product. Working closely with developers to ensure that the design is implemented correctly.
  • Testing the product with users to identify any usability issues and iterates on the design to improve the user experience
  • Strong communication skills are key (written and verbal)
  • Ability to lead or facilitate meetings and work sessions 
Required technologies:
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Figma (required)
  • Graphic design software
  • Adobe Suite 
Minimum required work experience:
  • 2 years of user interface design experience 
About the team:
  • The DLX UX Design team consists of 13 Usability Designers and Business Systems Analysts.
  • Together they work on individual projects to support the various applications within the Digital and Leveraged Systems Area. 
Required education/equivalencies:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree;
  • OR, Associates degree in CS, IT, or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;
  • OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 4 years without a degree)
