Title:  Entry Level Business Analyst
Location: Remote - DFW  
Duration: 12 + Month contract
Compensation: $30/hr.

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst I to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate or someone with 0-2 years of professional experience who is looking to build a career in business analysis, data governance, or information management.
In this role, you will support enterprise data initiatives by helping identify, organize, and document critical business data across multiple departments. You'll work with teams throughout the organization to gather information, maintain documentation, and ensure data is properly cataloged and tracked. This position offers hands-on experience working with business stakeholders, enterprise systems, and cross-functional teams while developing valuable business analysis and communication skills.
 
Responsibilities
  • Partner with business teams to identify, document, and organize enterprise data assets across multiple business systems.
  • Communicate with stakeholders across departments, including Finance, HR, Sales, IT, and Operations, to collect information and answer questions related to data ownership.
  • Maintain and update centralized documentation of data sources, business owners, system locations, and security classifications.
  • Follow up with stakeholders to gather missing information and help keep projects moving forward.
  • Track project progress using spreadsheets, dashboards, or project management tools and provide status updates to leadership.
  • Assist with documenting business processes and maintaining consistent data standards.
  • Build relationships with internal teams and provide guidance on documentation requirements.
  • Support ongoing data governance and data management initiatives as assigned.
  • Perform additional administrative and project support responsibilities as needed.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance, Management, or a related field.
  • Recent college graduate or 0-2 years of professional experience, including internships, co-ops, or relevant campus projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with strong follow-up skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Comfortable learning new technologies and business processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Internship or coursework related to business analysis, data analytics, project management, or information systems.
  • Exposure to enterprise applications such as ERP, CRM, HRIS, or other business systems through coursework, internships, or projects.
  • Familiarity with data concepts, reporting, or business process documentation.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel for organizing or analyzing information.
