Used Car Recondition Technician

Overview:

The Used Car Reconditioning Technician at Ilderton Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM is a skilled technician responsible for preparing used and new vehicles for sale. This individual will play a key role in ensuring that all vehicles meet the dealership's quality standards before being displayed to customers.

Responsibilities:

• Perform in-depth inspections of used and new vehicles, identifying any mechanical or cosmetic issues that need to be addressed before the vehicle can be sold

• Complete repairs and maintenance tasks as needed, utilizing specialized tools and equipment
• Collaborate with Internal Advisors to prioritize work and promptly inform them of issue that arise
• Test drive vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition
• Keep detailed records of work performed and communicate any issues or delays to management
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all safety protocols and guidelines
• Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines

Qualifications:

• 2-3 Prior experience working on vehicles, preferably in a dealership setting
• Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
• Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
