Eagle Chevrolet is looking for an experienced Used Car Sales Manager to lead our pre-owned sales operation in Riverhead, NY.
We’re looking for a hands-on automotive leader who understands the used-car business, knows how to structure profitable deals, can coach a sales team, and has a strong understanding of inventory, appraisals, trades, and customer follow-up.

Used Car Sales Manager Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and motivate the used car sales team
- Manage daily used vehicle sales operations and performance
- Drive used-car volume, gross profit, and closing performance
- Assist salespeople with negotiations and deal structure
- Oversee the customer experience from greeting through delivery
- Monitor CRM activity, lead response, follow-up, appointments, and closing ratios
- Evaluate trade-ins and work closely with the appraisal and acquisition teams
- Monitor used inventory levels, aging, pricing, merchandising, and turn rates
- Work with management to maximize profitability and minimize aged inventory
- Conduct daily sales meetings and ongoing sales training
- Recruit, train, and develop sales professionals
- Review sales and inventory reports to identify opportunities and areas for improvement
- Ensure dealership policies, compliance standards, and customer-service expectations are followed
Used Car Sales Manager Requirements
- Previous automotive sales management experience required
- Strong experience with pre-owned vehicle sales preferred
- Proven ability to lead and develop a sales team
- Strong understanding of used vehicle pricing, appraisals, trades, and inventory management
- Proven ability to structure profitable deals
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Experience with CRM and dealership management systems
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on both volume and gross
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to work a dealership schedule, including evenings and weekends
