RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform used-vehicle inspections and repairs efficiently and according to dealership standards
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, steering, suspension, brake, air-conditioning, engine, and transmission concerns
- Complete used-car reconditioning work accurately and within established turnaround-time expectations
- Perform road tests and use diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Identify additional repairs needed to make vehicles safe and ready for retail sale
- Provide accurate parts and labor estimates for recommended repairs
- Communicate repair needs and completion status to the Used Car Service Advisor or management team
- Complete repair orders with clear and accurate technician documentation
- Perform recalls, software updates, and applicable certification inspections
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous automotive technician experience
- Strong automotive diagnostic and repair background
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced reconditioning environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to complete repairs accurately and meet production expectations
- Must provide or maintain the tools required for the position
- Willing to submit to a drug screen and background check
- Clean and valid driver’s license
- ASE certifications preferred, but not required
