Used Car Service Technician

Hiring Automotive Technicians $50,000 - $65,000 a year

Bob Thomas Ford West is immediately looking for a used car technician, who must be capable of oil changes, brake repairs, tires, basic auto maintenance, diagnose drive-ability concerns, some electrical, ABS systems, and some suspension work.

• Technicians perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders on vehicles with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or Ford standard
• Automotive technicians diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems to specification
• Mechanics provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology
• Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made.

The right candidate must

• Have own set of tools
• Be dependable with a reliable source of transportation
• Strong motivation to learn & succeed in the business
• Be able to provide customer satisfaction performing inspections, repairs, and maintenance services according to Ford’s standards
• Have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
