· Bachelor's Degree in IT from an accredited college or university
· Certifications to include tools and knowledge related to web design and development.
· Experience with various browsers.
· Experience with 508 compliance.
· Experience with HTML, JavaScript, and HTML 5.
· Experience with UX design tools like Figma, Sketch, InVision, FlowMap, Balsamiq
· Understanding, knowledge and expertise of Agile methodology.
· Experience developing wireframes and prototypes around customer needs for web/mobile and native solutions.
· Strong presentation skills to business stakeholders.
· Must have knowledge of IT business and information environments and be able to implement recommended improvements to the website & applications design in support business environments.
· Technical experience with applications, application development, and design.
· Creates satisfying or compelling experiences for users of a product, often drawing on results from user research and workflow analysis.
· Possess strong creative, technical and problem-solving skills. Responsible for creating detailed front-end design wireframes, mockups, templates and/or any additional design elements that may be required in the development of a software project.
· Is to zero in on users’ underlying emotional and functional needs — then help execute on those discoveries to create an enjoyable experience.
· Works with the solution architect/system architect to understand the requirements and comes up with the most suitable front-end designs that are both aesthetically pleasing and user friendly.

Federate Systems is looking for a User Interface & User Experience (UI/UX) Designer to support one of our federal clients. This position is contingent upon winning the contract.
UI/UX Designer will lead user research, stakeholder interviews and conduct surveys to design functionality and features of applications. UX designer will collaborate with business analysts and program staff to translate requirements, user ideas into user-centric interface design, communicates the design to developers using wireframes, mockups and other artifacts.
