Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

 

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position:

Responsibilities

Technical Coordination

  • Coordinate engineering activities across multi-disciplinary functional teams including systems engineering, integration, and test.
  • Direct day-to-day work priorities across assigned engineering functions, working in close coordination with the technical lead and program manager.
  • Lead engineering change control processes, ensuring technical changes are evaluated, documented, and communicated across the team and to external stakeholders.
  • Maintain visibility into technical risks and ensure mitigations are tracked, assigned, and executed.
  • Drive cross-site coordination between Port Orchard and Manassas to ensure program continuity and a unified team approach.
  • Identifies and pursues opportunities to leverage AI tools to improve engineering workflows, development processes, and program efficiency; supports the program’s effort to integrate AI capabilities into production deliverables.

Program Execution

  • Maintain the engineering schedule and track commitments across development, integration, test, and delivery milestones.
  • Monitor budget performance for engineering activities as needed and surface variances to the Program Manager.
  • Develop and maintain engineering plans, including release plans, integration schedules, and deployment coordination across multiple baselines including hosted infrastructure ashore, non-hosted, laptop, afloat, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) environments.
  • Ensure all project deliverables — including documentation — are developed with high quality and delivered on schedule.
  • Identify and resolve execution issues.
  • Identify, develop, analyze, and report engineering project performance measures.
  • Support configuration and change management processes across the program lifecycle.
  • Based on the small team size, performing other technical tasks as needed.
  • Conduct lessons learned reviews after each major delivery to drive continuous improvement and ensure action completion.
  • Serve as Deputy Program Manager for the Program Manager on engineering matters as needed.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary engineering interface with the government systems engineering team and ISEA organization for technical reviews, IPTs, and day-to-day project and deliverable coordination.
  • Represent engineering commitments, schedule status, and technical plans at internal and external program reviews and customer engagements.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, supply chain management, and external stakeholders on technical priorities, interface requirements, and delivery expectations.
  • Author and review engineering plans, schedules, and correspondence in support of government technical interactions.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating work across multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with systems integration processes and multi-system interface management.
  • Experience participating in or supporting formal technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, test readiness reviews, deployment reviews).
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain schedules and manage technical change in a complex program environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging directly with GDMS leadership and customers.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a DoD or Navy program environment, ideally in Navy undersea warfare, ASW C2, or related Navy networked systems programs.
  • Familiarity with Navy ISEA or SYSCOM systems engineering processes.
  • Background in networking, infrastructure, or software systems integration in classified environments.
  • Experience supporting Foreign Military Sales (FMS) or multi-national program baselines.
  • Experience managing engineering schedules and technical change control in a multi-site program.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
