Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Complete general in-and-out tasks throughout the facility to support daily operations
- Assist with routine sanitation to maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Perform small maintenance tasks and basic equipment upkeep
- Monitor and maintain operational equipment to ensure functionality
- Support Embrex operations when needed
- Follow all safety, animal welfare, and biosecurity protocols
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
- Any additional tasks assigned by management
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to lift 20–40 lbs consistently
- Ability to push equipment up to 500 lbs
- Basic math and writing skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Good critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently
- Willingness to learn and assist in multiple areas of the facility
Additional Requirements
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, physically active environment
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures and conditions typical of a hatchery setting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and cleanliness
Work Environment
This role operates within a hatchery environment requiring adherence to strict sanitation, safety, and biosecurity standards. Tasks may involve standing, walking, lifting, pushing, and working around equipment and livestock for extended periods.
Work Schedule
- Wednesday: 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Friday: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM
- Saturday: 1:00 PM – 1:00 AM
- Sunday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Note: Hours may occasionally extend or adjust based on production needs.
