Utility Infrastructure Analyst

About the Role

As part of CBRE's Global Workplace Solutions team, the Utility Infrastructure Analyst will play a critical role in the initial mobilization and startup of large-scale infrastructure deployment across North America for a major e-commerce client. This position is integral to establishing the primary engagement workflows for utility coordination and data-driven power availability assessments. Reporting directly to the Utility Infrastructure Manager, the Analyst provides the essential technical and administrative support required to unburden regional operations and ensure the consistent execution of program tracking systems.

What You'll Do

• Managerial Support: Provide comprehensive technical and administrative support to the Utility Infrastructure Manager to facilitate high-level reporting and strategic decision-making for client regional leads.
• Due Diligence & Power Availability: Support the initial power availability assessments for prospective sites by gathering utility data and requesting load letters.
• Infrastructure Research: Research substation locations, service territory boundaries, and utility infrastructure using publicly available tools to build the program's foundational data.
• Reporting & Documentation: Compile and organize utility responses and preliminary engineering feedback into standardized due diligence packages for Manager review.
• Project Management: Track utility inquiry status across multiple active sites and flag delays or missing information to the Utility Infrastructure Manager.
• Database Optimization: Maintain and update portfolio-level trackers and contact databases to ensure the Manager has real-time visibility into regional progress.
• Operational Coordination: Schedule and support pre-application meetings, site visits, and utility coordination calls.
• Process Standardization: Assist the Manager in developing and maintaining standardized templates and checklists for newly established due diligence processes.

What You'll Need

• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical status updates clearly to the Utility Infrastructure Manager.
• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in commercial real estate, utility coordination, or infrastructure advisory.
• Technical Knowledge: Basic familiarity with utility easements, right-of-way agreements, or real property documentation.
• Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with project tracking software such as Smartsheet, Asana, and others.
• Attributes: Strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a support capacity within a structured reporting hierarchy.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $75,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $82,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.

Successful candidates may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
