Job TitleCivil Utility Construction Project ManagerJob DescriptionPlan, manage, and oversee civil utility construction projects from initiation through completion. Coordinate installation of underground utilities, including water, sewer, stormwater, gas, and electrical infrastructure. Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and procurement activities. Lead field teams, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure efficient project execution. Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. Conduct site inspections and resolve technical, operational, and construction-related issues. Collaborate with engineers, municipalities, utility providers, and regulatory agencies to secure approvals and maintain compliance. Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize delays and cost overruns. Manage contract administration, change orders, project reporting, and stakeholder communications. Strong track record of delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget. Extensive knowledge of civil construction methods, utility installation practices, and municipal standards. Skilled in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate field crews, subcontractors, consultants, and project stakeholders. Strong understanding of construction contracts, change order management, and procurement processes. Experience coordinating with municipalities, utility owners, engineers, and regulatory agencies. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly resolve field and construction challenges. Deep commitment to safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance. Proficient with project management and scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore, or similar platforms. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of building relationships with clients and internal teams. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced construction environments. Financially savvy with experience managing project costs, forecasting, and profitability. Results-driven leader with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accountability. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with relevant industry certifications considered an asset.What's on OfferCompetitive salary range depending upon experience.
