Utility Civil Drafter (Plats)

[Job Description]

A large reputable utility company in Bothell, WA is currently hiring for a Utility Civil Drafter/Designer for the Plats team. This role will work with utility customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Will be analyzing and translating requirements into system, hardware, and software designs and interface specifications.

Pay - $40/hr. - $55/hr.

Location - Bothell, WA (Hybrid Schedule)

Contract Duration - 12-Month Contract To Start (Possibility for Extension or Conversion)

[Responsibilities]

Responsible for project-intake management, CAD, and analysis of work orders/packets. Projects will vary depending on client to client, but a majority of the work will focus on:

• Utilize AutoCAD to draft/edit/convert customer files to align with Utility standards to make workable documents + ability to create and make new drafts as well.
• Prepares engineering plans, designs, specifications, and standards.
• Receive intake of projects from customers.
• Organize and identify discrepancies in work orders.
• Review PLAT design and work with State Codes and Standards.

[Qualification Requirements]

• 3-5+ years of experience with CAD software.
• Experience with underground utility, land development, earth work, etc. (not building, transpo, etc.)
• Civil 3D experience is a plus.
• Experience with PLAT design is a plus.
• Experience working with State Codes and Standards.
• Must be comfortable submitting to a drug test (including THC testing) upon onboarding.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
