Overview:
It is the responsibility to of the Kitchen Worker/Utility Cleaner to perform all phases of kitchen cleaning so as to attain safe and sanitary conditions while under the supervision of the Sous Chef and/or F&B Outlet Manager. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).
Responsibilities:
- Maintain uniform appearance according to established guidelines.
- Adhere to policies and procedures.
- Know locations of all Golden Nugget outlets and services available to the guests.
- Responsible for all breakdown, feed, catch and proper sorting of all china, silverware and glassware as it is brought to the Dish Room.
- Responsible for washing pots and pans and properly sorting and storing them on the pot shelves.
- Responsible for washing baseboards, floor drains, hand sinks, tables and cutting boards.
- Responsible for cleaning all walls, ceilings, light fixtures, which may require the use of stepladder, and also reporting repairs as needed.
- Responsible for sweeping, mopping and waxing all floors.
- Responsible for hauling trash from the kitchen areas to the Trash Room.
- Responsible for polishing silver, glass and brass in all outlets as needed.
- Responsible for cleaning and maintaining dish machines in all outlets.
- Responsible for cleaning all food and beverage service carts, speed racks, double wide racks, food warmers, queen marys and dish dollies.
- Responsible for washing kettle pots on hot line as needed.
- Responsible for set up of all china glass and silver for all food outlets.
- Responsible for cleaning loading dock bay area with pressure washer.
- Responsible for food and beverage inventory of china, glass, silver and linen.
- Inform Sous Chef and/or F&B Outlet Manager of needed supplies.
- Bring all supplies down from the storage areas.
- Assist with maintaining a neat, clean and safe working environment.
- Turnover/Takeover station according to established procedure.
- Complete special projects as requested by Food and Beverage management.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.#
Qualifications:

- Must have good people skills and a well-groomed appearance.
- Must read, write, speak and understand English.
- Must have working knowledge of point of sales systems.
- Must be able to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results.
- Minimum age requirement is 18.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Experience preferred but will train individual.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Basic math skills.
Language Skills:
Must be able to speak and understand English.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
- Ability to regularly move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds.
- Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft. during shift.
- Frequently stooping, reaching.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment. There are occasional hot and cold temperature changes.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a smoke-filled environment.
- Work with others in close spaces.
- Moderate to high noise levels.
- Walk/stand on tile/mats/carpet/cement.
Pay Range:
USD $18.00 - USD $18.00 /Hr.
