Utility Construction and Maintenance Foreman
The Utility Construction and Maintenance Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily operations of crews engaged in the maintenance, repair, installation, and construction of underground utility infrastructure. This position oversees field personnel and equipment to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with established standards and regulations.
Key responsibilities include planning and assigning daily work activities; supervising crews performing repairs to utility system components; monitoring project progress; inspecting completed work; and ensuring adherence to safety procedures. The Foreman is responsible for maintaining accurate records of labor, materials, equipment usage, and work orders while coordinating with management on operational priorities, project schedules, and resource allocation.
The ideal candidate possesses extensive knowledge of underground utility systems, construction practices, equipment operation, and workplace safety standards. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to supervise personnel, resolve field issues, and maintain productive working relationships with employees, contractors, and the public.
