Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provides supervision and training for assigned crew membersPlans, coordinates, and orders the necessary parts, supplies, and equipment for assigned work ordersInspects all equipment before use and reports problems to supervisor or to fleet maintenanceEnsures that all safety policies are adhered to, safety equipment inspected and used, and that PPE is properly utilizedPrepares work orders, documenting parts, hours, equipment used and all other pertinent data in the work order management systemPerforms all duties of a Utility Technician as neededFollows City policies, procedures, and safety guidelinesPerforms other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalentTwo (2) years of in utilities or related fieldDemonstrated leadership skills
Certifications and Licenses
Valid Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement upon hire or advancementTCEQ License C Water and Collection II upon hire.Equipment Preventative Maintenance (8 hours) within one (1) year of hire / advancementWork Traffic Control / Qualified Flagger (16 hours) within one (1) year of hire / advancement
