Assist Utility Fitters with a variety of skilled utility maintenance and repair duties associated with a water distribution system, wastewater collection system and a heat distribution system. This entry-level position is intended to serve as a developmental pathway to the Utility Fitter position through on-the-job training, hands-on experience, and progressive skill development. Incumbents are required to obtain and advance through the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection certification levels demonstrating increasing proficiency and responsibility in utility system operations and maintenance.
Starting Wage: $32.798 per hour
This is an in-person position located at Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks, Alaska.
This is a temporary position for up to 500 hours.

Must pass a pre-employment drug test, random drug test thereafter in accordance with the published policy of Doyon Utilities. Must have a valid driver's license issued by the State of Alaska. Must be eligible to work on a military installation in Alaska. Eligibility to work on a military installation includes compliance with Department of Defense mandates with respect to employee background and health directives.
