Utility Fleet Hydraulic–Electrical Field Technician

Role mission

Serve as the field-based expert for PALFINGER customers, traveling to their locations to diagnose, repair, update, and maintain mobile bucket trucks. You’ll operate across the U.S., with Monday–Friday travel up to 80% centered on the eastern seaboard.

How you’ll contribute

1. Perform on-site troubleshooting, repairs, and product updates on aerial equipment using sound judgment and minimal supervision.
2. Carry out maintenance assignments from your regional manager and hit agreed timelines.
3. Manage your schedule independently—plan, execute, document, and move to the next job efficiently.
4. Communicate clearly with regional managers regarding mechanical issues and recommended repairs.
5. Complete daily administrative tasks: estimates, work order authorizations, parts procurement and tracking, labor entry, and inventory logging.

Must-haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–3 years of mechanical experience or training; specialization in bucket trucks is a plus.
• Comfort with Windows tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
• Self-directed, proactive, and resourceful; strong communicator in English (spoken and written).
