General Responsibility - Perform preventive maintenance and calibration on assigned equipment and instrumentation, as well as diagnosing and repairing problems with equipment.
Job Duties/Essential Functions -
- Perform preventive maintenance and calibration on assigned equipment and instrumentation
- Perform preventive maintenance, machine setup, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and robotic equipment. Strong PLC knowledge required.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and pneumatic control system problems on production machinery, auxiliary equipment and fixtures
- Plan, layout and install electrical and pneumatic systems in support of the fabrication and installation of new equipment and fixtures
- Communicate and work cooperatively with fellow technicians and line associates
- Assist with set up and tear down of packaging line and changeover of automated pack station
- Daily housekeeping and 5S activities
Minimum Requirements -
- Job related experience a minimum 3-5 years
- Able to read mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, PLC ladder logic and pneumatic prints
- Knowledge and experience with Fanuc LRMate 200iD or similar Fanuc robotics systems required
- Lift Truck Certified (preferred but not necessary.) If not certified in Lift Truck, must become certified in reasonable amount of time
- Must be able to communicate well with others both verbally and in writing; experience in leading training of others a plus
- Must be able to work well in a team environment
- Physically able to bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach and lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to perform duties within small areas, as small as 2 ft x 2 ft
- Strong PLC experience required, experience with Allen Bradley RSLogix 500/500 and Studio 5000 a plus.
- Working knowledge of the current National Electric Code (NEC) is desirable.
- Must follow all standard work procedures
- Must successfully complete the Lock Out/ Tag Out training within reasonable amount of time
- Must follow all safety procedures
- Must wear/ use all required PPE, to include, but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, mechanics gloves (when required), proper foot wear (as outlined in the employee handbook), etc.
