Clear Lake City Water Authority Houston, TXThe Utility Operations Engineer is a contributor who oversees the planning, management, and works with Superintendents on the daily operations of the water and wastewater systems, ensuring exceptional service to the community.Under general administrative direction of the General Manager, the Utility Operations Engineer oversees the installation, maintenance, and repair of the water supply, distribution facilities, and wastewater utility operations and systems to protect public health in accordance with state and federal regulations. Ensures CLCWA operates safely and in compliance with all environmental permits, procedures, and policies of the Company. This role involves implementing short- and long-term plans, managing budgets, and directing Capital Improvement Projects (CIP).REQUIRED A bachelor's degree in engineering, or related field.Valid Texas driver's license, and ability to maintain an insurable driving record.An understanding of concepts of water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, wastewater treatment and collection systems.Three years supervisory experience.PREFERRED Five years supervisory experience.Ten years municipality experience.Professional Engineer license in the state of Texas preferred.Three to five years water and wastewater experience.TCEQ class A license preferred.Seniority level Mid-Senior levelEmployment type Full-timeJob function Engineering and Information Technology#J-18808-Ljbffr
