Our Utility Material Handling Laborers safely perform the basic tasks required to support the Material Handling team at the Valero Facility and Terminal located in Port Arthur, TX.

Here is what you will be doing:

• Housekeeping duties, including shoveling, washing down work areas, and keeping offices, restrooms, break rooms, and work rooms clean and tidy
• Follow proper safety rules and operating procedures to support zero-tolerance safety objectives
• Complete and maintain required daily paperwork
• Assist maintenance personnel, as needed and directed
• Occasionally work in areas outside of your normal duties, when instructed by Supervision

What You Need to Be Successful:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must have the ability to obtain a TWIC card
• Be able to read, write, and understand English and follow written and/or verbal instructions
• 1 year of outdoor labor, refinery, plant, or industrial preferred

Here are some of the physical requirements for this role:

• You will be routinely required to work outdoors and as a result are exposed to the elements
• Must be able to lift to 70 lbs
• Physically able to handle large tools, climb on and off the equipment, ascend and descend ladders
• Must be comfortable with heights
