Utility Person - 3rd Shift 12:00am - 8:30am

Responsible for maintaining a clean facility by completing a variety of cleaning task. Cleaning of the inside
of the facility including the clean up of oil and water spills, maintaining the outside grounds ( ALL Seasons),
empty trash and plastic bins, maintaining the garage boxes and pallets. Replacing oil in machines

Major Duties:
➢ Performing multiple walk-throughs in the assigned buildings for your shift for oil/water leaks
➢ Laying down drop cloths (oil pads) on oil spills to prevent slips and falls.
➢ Filling machines with oil when needed (this will be performed at the beginning of every shift) and as
needed.
➢ Clean the purge from machines for mechanics
➢ Emptying of trash and plastic garbage bins
Minor Duties
➢ Wiping and cleaning of machines when needed
➢ Filling stations up with the necessary cleaning supplies and equipment for the day
➢ Assist Mechanics and Production Supervisors when needed for a clean-up job
➢ Mopping inside the facility
➢ Maintaining sweeping in and out of the facility
➢ Replacing of filters on units when needed

Qualification & Education Requirements 

• High school / Grade 10 level education   

• Little to some experience (0–1 year) in manufacturing/packaging   

Knowledge and Skills 

• Reading and understanding simple instructions   

• Basic writing/communication   

• Simple math (add, subtract, count, measure)   

• Follow instructions and procedures   

• Use common sense in routine situations   

• Pay attention to detail   

Working Environment and Physical Requirements  

• Very similar across all:  

• Standing for long periods   

• Using hands for repetitive tasks   

• Light to moderate weight (up to ~50 lbs.)   

• Walking, reaching, handling objects   

• Close vision required   

• Manufacturing/production setting   

• Exposure to noise (moderate to high) and fumes or particles (in some cases)   

• Fast-paced, production-driven environment
