Description

Under general supervision, the Utility Services Technician provides technical and data support for the Utilities Service Department.

Posted pay range is the starting salary. Pay rate offered is based on experience.

Examples of Duties

  • Ensuring water and wastewater system quality and accuracy by field work, contractor/ vendor communication and direction.

  • Inspects and inputs documents, reports, CCTV data and work orders to various databases and data collection systems.

  • May serve as the technical and data support subject matter expert that may include but not limited to: CCTV repair, SCADA monitoring, line locating, parts inventory or cross-connection devices, work order systems, web-based GIS solutions.

  • Providing knowledge of city infrastructure and ordinances to ensures proper compliance with all State Regulations.

  • Assists other departments by providing services and support.

Experience and Training

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in utility services or a similar position.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree education may substitute for work experience on a year-to-year basis.

Certificates and Licenses Required

  • Valid Texas drivers license or the ability to obtain prior to employment.
