Department: Utility Services Department Organizational Unit: County Water and Wastewater
Position Type: Permanent Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
Open Until Filled.
$3,306.82 to $3,637.50 bi-weekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Performs skilled administrative work planning, coordinating, and directing the activities of the County's Water and Sewer Operations Division. Supervision is given to supervisory, professional, technical, and clerical staff.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor''s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Sciences, Business, or a closely related field PLUS five (5) years of experience supervising the operation of a water/sewer system. Additional qualifying education and/or may be substituted on a year for year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Any current water, wastewater, and/or reuse related license and/or certification issued by an approved agency is preferred. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural, or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
