    What You'll Be DoingAs a Utility Worker Technician II, you will support several important manufacturing operations, including:

    Assisting with the inspection of precision mechanical components, ensuring quality and attention to detailBuilding custom wooden crates and packaging large marine propulsion components for safe shipment around the worldWrapping and protecting large propellers and critical components before delivery to our customersPerforming touch-up painting and preparing components for assembly or shipmentPreparing tools, materials, and equipment for our Assembly teamSupporting various areas of the manufacturing floor, including material handling and maintaining a clean, safe workspaceAssisting wherever needed to help the team meet customer commitments and delivery schedules

    Every task matters. These are critical components supporting our military partners, and ensuring they arrive on time and in excellent condition has a direct impact on our customers' missions.

    What Makes You Successful in This RoleWe are looking for someone who:

    Enjoys hands-on, physical work and takes pride in craftsmanshipHas strong mechanical aptitude and the willingness to learnIs comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and moving throughout the shiftCan safely lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 50 pounds with assistance from overhead hoists, cranes, and forklifts (training provided)Understands the importance of safety, quality, and following proceduresHas strong attention to detail and understands that small mistakes can have significant consequencesIs reliable, adaptable, and willing to cross-train in multiple areas of manufacturingCan work overtime and occasionally support different shifts based on business and customer needsWorks well with others and contributes to a team-first culture

    Basic Qualifications

    High School Diploma or GED equivalent0-2 years of experience in manufacturing, mechanical, warehouse, construction, automotive, military, or other hands-on technical environments preferredDemonstrated mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn a skilled tradeAbility to follow work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standardsAbility to wear required PPE and work around manufacturing materials and chemicals used in the processMust be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screeningA positive attitude, dependable attendance, and commitment to continuous improvement
