Hunton Rental Solutions, a division of Hunton Group in Houston, TX, has a new and exciting opportunity for you to join our organization as a Utility Technician. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the preparation, maintenance, transportation, installation, and operation of temporary power, HVAC, compressed air, and fluid handling equipment. This role provides critical support to rental operations, field service teams, and customer projects by ensuring equipment is maintained, delivered, and deployed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation, inspection, cleaning, testing, and staging of rental equipment.
  • Support the delivery, setup, operation, and demobilization of temporary power, cooling, compressed air, and fluid handling equipment.
  • Load, unload, secure, and transport equipment, hoses, cables, ductwork, fuel tanks, and accessories.
  • Assist technicians with equipment installations, startup activities, and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance on generators, chillers, air conditioners, pumps, air handlers, and related equipment.
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and report operational issues or repair needs.
  • Assist with fuel management, fluid checks, battery maintenance, and equipment cleaning.
  • Support yard organization, inventory control, and fleet readiness activities.
  • Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and equipment documentation.
  • Ensure equipment is prepared and available to meet customer schedules and project requirements.
  • Support emergency response mobilizations and after-hours customer needs as required.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn rental equipment operations and maintenance.
  • Previous experience in construction, industrial services, equipment rental, transportation, warehouse operations, or mechanical trades preferred.
  • Basic understanding of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

  • Ability to work occasional overtime and support emergency response activities when required.
