Position Summary:
The Utility Worker supports daily production by maintaining facility cleanliness, handling materials, and assisting with manufacturing operations. This role helps ensure a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
HOURS: 2pm - 10:30pm Monday through Friday + over time as needed
PAY: $19.60 + $0.75 shift differential
HIRE: Direct, full time.
LOCATION: 7405 Page Ave St. Louis, MO
What You'll Do:
Performs the work associated with maintaining a clean, safe and attractive work environment. This includes:
aisle ways
stairways
lavatories
lunchroom
general manufacturing areas
plant office floors
parking lots
stairways
sweeping and shoveling snow/ice
Waste containers must be emptied daily and returned to the designated areas.
Use cleaning equipment as directed.
Remove accumulated hazardous wastes from laboratory and other areas.
Transport hazardous waste to the hazardous waste storage area.
Clean up of chemical spills and blood borne pathogens.
Operates forklift trucks and other material handling equipment for the loading and unloading of railroad cars and trucks as needed.
Deliver proper material on time to the various areas of the manufacturing processes (EX: For example, case packing, labeling and bottle dumping)
Count and verify by proper item and lot number, all materials during palletization, loading and unloading and stores all materials in the proper place.
Assemble, weigh and stage raw materials and packaging components needed for production and maintains proper documentation.
Occasionally perform proper palletization of finished or unfinished products and storing them in the proper place as designated.
Refuel and recharge material handling equipment and responsible for the daily maintenance such as cleaning the equipment, checking the oil, water, battery and lubrication of the equipment.
Exercise extreme caution in order to not damage other material or property while operating moving equipment and must at all times exercise extreme caution for the safety of other employees.
Maintain written and/or electronic records as required by management (i.e. cGMP or ISO procedures).
Keep equipment and surrounding work area clean at all times.
Move and load hazardous wastes, as directed by the supervisor.
Perform other duties as directed by supervisor including a combination of Janitor and Forklift duties, bottle dump, case pack, label, sprayer.

Move and arrange drums on pallet from floor. Up to 50lbs.
Weigh drums and bags of raw materials, calculate usage required and containers as needed.
Reliable, good communication skills, able to work with all levels of the organization.
Able to work with minimal direct supervision.
Performs necessary quality and inventory control data gathering and input in either written or electronic formats.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, ability to organize and maintain organization.

Pay rate for this opportunity is $19.60/hour. This position is eligible for bonus participation.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
