Deerfield is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Utility Worker/Steward. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused in providing superior service.Key Responsibilities of the Utility Person:* Cleans clubhouse restrooms daily.* Cleans Kitchen daily.* Cleans, sanitizes and properly stocks of all dishes, pots, pans, flatware and glassware.* Maintains cleanliness of entire kitchen including dry storage and walk-in cooler, sweeping & mopping.* Performs daily cleaning to include dry storage, walk-in shelving, steam tables, hoods and exhaust system.* Stores all dishes and other wares in proper areas.* Clean, wash and sanitize all dishes, clean kitchen after close.* Vacuums and sweeps clubhouse daily.* Collects trash in and around clubhouse area and disposes in facility dumpster.* Checks the restrooms on a regular schedule.* Maintains clubhouse cleanliness throughout work shift.* Cleans and washes golf carts.* Cleans and maintains an organized golf cart storage facility.* Assists with set up and cleanup of event tent.* Assists management team with similar housekeeping tasks when needed.* Reports all problem situations to the Manager of the Day in a timely manner.* Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.* Performs other duties as required.Minimum Qualifications for the Utility Person:* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.* Must have a valid driver's license (if driving golf cars).* Must have a strong work ethic.* Must have friendly personality and enjoy working with the public.* Organized, able to work well in fast paced environment.* Must have good customer/guest orientation.* Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.* Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.Other Qualifications:* Regular and reliable attendance.* Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job.Working Conditions:* Frequently stands, walks and sits.* Regularly uses hands, pushes, pulls, reaches with arms and hands, talks and listens.* Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches.* Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.* Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions.* Frequently works with cleaning supplies and chemicals.* Noise level is moderate.
