Description:
• This full-time position based in Richmond Hill, NY, requires managing the utilization review process for clients undergoing substance use disorder treatment. 
• The role involves preparing clinical documentation, advocating for treatment authorizations, and maintaining communication about client progress. 
• Proficiency with electronic health records and general office applications is essential.

Requirements:
• Prepare and submit utilization review documentation to insurers.
• Complete monthly reports on client progress and treatment necessity.
• Advocate for additional treatment days based on documentation and payer needs.
• Collaborate with treatment teams to develop progress notes.
• Review documentation for medical necessity and adherence to guidelines.
• Track authorization periods and submit reviews before deadlines.
• Maintain detailed records of insurance communications and outcomes.

Qualifications:
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
• Experience in utilization review, management, or case management preferred.
