Work as part of a collaborative team to support the daily operations and varied programmatic needs of the Bennion Center for Community Engagement at the University of Utah. Primary job responsibilities include the following:

  • Taking photographs
  • Editing photographs
  • Uploading photographs to a shared drive folder

This position will be hired at an as needed basis and does not have regular hours. The person hired in this position will be expected to work all Saturday Service Projects, Bennion Center Community Celebration, and other events determined by the Bennion Center leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Being available to take photos on Saturday mornings at events called Saturday Service Projects. Time varies, but ranges from 8:30 AM- 12:30 PM. This requires on and off-campus travel.
  • This position may be asked to be present to take photos at other days and times throughout the year which may include group photos, headshots, or candid photos at special events.
  • This position will also be asked to upload photos to a shared drive folder and properly name the photos for easy access.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, or equivalency.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functionsof the job as outlined in the position description.
  • Experience taking photos at events including headshots, and candid shots.
  • Students in this role cannot work more than 19 hours a week. Any other on-campus position must be shared with the hiring manager in order to not go over the 19 hours a week standard.

Preferences

Candidate who has photography experience who is self directed and has experience editing.
