The Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization is responsible for creating the spaces that inspire Amazonians to make history. The globally diverse team manages Amazon's corporate offices in more than 60 countries. GREF provides real estate transactions expertise, business partnering, space and occupancy planning, design and construction, capital investment program management, facility maintenance, and operations all contributing to the employee experience and leveraging places and programs to enable culture to thrive at Amazon.

Within GREF, the Customer Insights team represents the voice of the Amazonian throughout the workplace journey. We surface insights that help GREF deliver a workplace experience that enables Amazonians to do their best work while at the office.

We are seeking an experienced mixed method researcher to join our growing Customer Insights team. As UX Researcher based in Arlington, VA or Seattle, WA, you will be responsible for driving and implementing both qualitative and quantitative research with global partners - owning the process end to end, from data collection to analysis and reporting. You will contribute to high-impact research initiatives that directly inform workplace programs, services, and communications strategies. You will lead the collection, synthesis, and communication of foundational insights across a variety of workplace dimensions, going beyond digital products typically associated with UX research. You will be required to work with minimal direction and be capable of working quickly while delivering high-quality outputs. You will work on overlapping projects, which require the ability to multi-task and juggle competing priorities.

The right candidate will understand both qualitative and quantitative research methods, have hands on research experience, and demonstrate best practices while also being flexible, creative, and pragmatic. The candidate must be able to balance frugality with creativity in offering solutions, and approach problem-solving with an emphasis on root cause.

Key job responsibilities

  • Cultivate relationships with key partners to identify learning opportunities that support product and program initiatives, and ladder into top organization priorities
  • Design and execute both generative and evaluative research studies, leading vendor management of outsourced studies, when necessary
  • Engage in strategic discussion with partner teams to ensure research generates actionable findings

This role will be a key within the Customer Insights team. Key functions within this team include, Business Insights, Creative + UX Design, and Communications.
