Northern Gulf is a renewable fuel logistics and distribution company, focused on aggregating, separating and selling used-cooking oil (“UCO”) along the Gulf coast. Our business places collection bins at customer locations to collect UCO and grease from cooking and food production operations. Representative customers include: restaurants, stadiums, institutions and food manufacturing facilities.
Job description: This dual-role position involves safely operating a vacuum (vac) truck to collect used cooking oil (UCO) from restaurants, commercial kitchens, and related businesses, plus installing, replacing, and maintaining on-site pump systems and extraction equipment for UCO collection. You will handle both driving/collection routes and hands-on mechanical work on pump systems, tanks, hoses, and related infrastructure.
QUALIFICATIONS:
CDL Class A License (required)
Tanker Endorsement
TWIC Card
One year of Class A driving experience (Preferred)
1 - 3 years of experience in a waste collection role (Preferred)
Safely operate a Class A CDL vacuum/tanker truck (PTO-driven pumps and hoses) to collect UCO from outdoor bins, indoor tanks, or pump systems at customer locations.
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, complete driver logs/DVIR, and comply with all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations.
Pump, load, and transport UCO; clean and maintain collection containers/tanks; secure equipment; and document volumes, conditions, and any issues.
Install, replace, retrofit, and troubleshoot pump systems, piping, hoses, valves, controls, and related equipment for extracting UCO from businesses.
Assist with or perform related tasks such as delivering/swapping bins or tanks, basic mechanical repairs, system priming/testing, and training customer staff on safe operation.
Maintain vehicle and equipment cleanliness and perform basic upkeep.
Provide professional customer service, report incidents or equipment problems promptly, and complete required paperwork/route documentation.
Follow all environmental, spill-prevention, and safety protocols.

For training on the procedures and vehicles Monday thru Friday for approximately 2-3 weeks
After training is complete the schedule will be Wednesday thru Sunday
