Vaccine Coordinator

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Vaccine Coordinator is responsible for the oversight and coordination of the organization's vaccine program, including Vaccines for Children (VFC) and privately purchased vaccine inventories across all clinical site. This position ensures compliance with CDC, IDPH, VFC, and Joint Commission requirements through effective vaccine storage and handling, inventory management, staff education, and

regulatory oversight. The Vaccine Coordinator supports safe and efficient vaccine delivery by promoting best practices, maintaining vaccine integrity, and participating in quality improvement initiatives

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Associate's degree in general studies or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Current CPR certification

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• One to two years of experience in vaccine management, immunization programs, ambulatory care, public health, or VFC program administration preferred

• Experience utilizing an electronic medical record preferred

• Experience utilizing ICARE preferred

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $18.76-$26.64. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
