The Valet Ticket Writer – Emergency Room Ramp is a critical frontline role supporting patients, families, and clinical staff during high‑stress situations. This position works in the ER valet ramp, greeting arrivals, collecting payments when applicable, gathering vehicle and customer information to issue valet tickets, and assisting with vehicle movement in the ramp to maintain safe and efficient traffic flow. The role requires urgency, empathy, and strict attention to safety. 

Key Responsibilities


  • Greet patients, visitors, and family members promptly and compassionately upon arrival at the ER valet ramp 
  • Collect valet parking payments (cash and approved electronic methods) accurately and in accordance with hospital and company policies 
  • Capture required customer and vehicle information to generate valet tickets quickly and accurately 
  • Clearly explain the valet process, retrieval instructions, and next steps during emotionally sensitive situations 
  • Monitor traffic flow in the ER ramp and proactively communicate with valet drivers to prevent congestion or delays 
  • Move vehicles within the valet ramp or designated areas, when required, to maintain clear access for emergency vehicles 
  • Maintain strict cash-handling controls and reconcile transactions at the end of each shift 
  • Coordinate with valet drivers, supervisors, security, and hospital staff to support uninterrupted emergency operations 
  • Ensure compliance with hospital safety, privacy (HIPAA awareness), and infection-control expectations 
  • Keep the booth, ramp area, and work station clean, orderly, and professional at all times 
  • Remain calm, professional, and service-focused in fast-paced, high-pressure environments 


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


  • Ability to operate automatic vehicles; manual transmission experience preferred 
  • Prior cash handling experience preferred 
  • Basic computer or tablet skills for ticketing systems 
  • Strong customer service and communication skills 
  • Ability to remain composed and empathetic in emergency and emotionally charged situations 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Sense of urgency balanced with safety 
  • Team-oriented with clear communication skills 
  • Dependable and punctual  
REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age 
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred 
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record 
  • Must successfully pass a background check, in accordance with company policy and applicable laws 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to provide documentation verifying eligibility, as required by the Department of Homeland Security. Reimagined Parking participates in the E‑Verify program to confirm employment eligibility.  
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods in the valet ramp/booth area 
  • Ability to walk, bend, and move quickly within the parking ramp 
  • Ability to drive vehicles short distances safely and efficiently  
WORKING CONDITIONS:  
  • Ability to work outdoors and indoors in varying weather, noise, and traffic conditions 
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
