A leading middle-market investment bank may seek a Valuation Analyst to focus on financial valuations, modeling, and transaction support. These roles are ideal for candidates interested in rigorous financial analysis, deal exposure, and structured professional development within investment banking.
Perform company, asset, and portfolio valuations using DCF, comparable company, precedent transaction, and other methodologies.
Build and maintain detailed financial models (3-statement, LBO, merger models, accretion/dilution analyses).
Conduct industry research and benchmarking to support valuation conclusions.
Prepare valuation reports, investment memoranda, and client presentations.
Support live M&A, capital markets, and restructuring transactions.
Assist with due diligence, data room organization, and transaction execution.
Collaborate with senior bankers, associates, and clients to ensure accuracy and timeliness of valuation deliverables.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
Strong skills in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
Excellent analytical, quantitative, and communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Prior internship or full-time experience in finance (investment banking, private equity, consulting, audit, FP&A) is a plus.
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial research platforms.
