Senior Valuations Associate

A publicly traded principal investment firm based in Houston is adding a new role to its valuations team. The Senior Valuations Associate will play a lead role in the quarterly valuation of the firm’s portfolio company investments. The position will be assisting with the quarterly valuations of investments in portfolio companies.  This role offers the opportunity to further develop valuation/finance skills, in addition to general accounting and analysis skills. This role offers a 24-month Manager track in the Valuations group. 

Attributes Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required (Master’s in Accounting or MBA is a plus)
• CPA required
• 3+ years’ experience in public accounting or investment banking
• Significant exposure to general accounting and financial reporting, including internal controls, is required for review of company financial statements and valuation packages (valuations / financial modeling experience)
•  Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

This role is on-site in the Galleria area and offers excellent career growth with a defined path to Manager and future Director title.  Our client offers a base salary of $120-130K with bonus and incentives.
