Job Title: Value-Based Care Customer Service Representative
Employment Type: Contract
(Fully Remote Must work EST hours)
Compensation: $17 $18/hour
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:30 AM 5:00 PM EST
Position Summary:
Wheeler Staffing Partners is hiring on behalf of a client for a Value-Based Care Customer Service Representative. This fully remote position supports a healthcare organization by handling inbound inquiries related to eligibility, benefits, claims, and authorizations. Candidates must be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and experienced in a call center or healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer incoming phone calls using an ACD phone system
Retrieve and respond to voicemails promptly
Provide accurate information on eligibility, benefits, claims, and referral status
Assist healthcare providers with claim, authorization, and eligibility inquiries
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong customer service orientation
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Familiar with healthcare billing and terminology, including CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes, HCFA1500, and UB04
Ability to work independently in a quiet, remote work environment
Education and Experience:
13 years of customer service experience (call center or healthcare setting preferred)
High school diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor's degree preferred
Previous remote work experience is a plus
