Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Scheduler plays a critical role in driving operational success by coordinating production schedules, optimizing resource utilization, and ensuring the timely delivery of high‑quality products. This position partners closely with Manufacturing Systems, Production, and Engineering teams to align priorities, improve efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with Manufacturing Systems and cross‑functional teams to develop and manage production schedules, ensuring alignment with customer demand and operational priorities
Plan and coordinate daily production activities, effectively utilizing personnel and equipment to meet delivery goals
Monitor and communicate key value stream performance metrics (safety, quality, delivery/velocity, and cost)
Identify and address scheduling constraints or risks, adjusting plans as needed to maintain production flow
Drive continuous improvement efforts by identifying process opportunities and partnering with Manufacturing Engineering
Maintain strong communication across departments to ensure alignment between production, customer requirements, and operational capabilities
Support and develop team members to enhance performance, engagement, and career growth
Promote and enforce safe work practices, proactively identifying and mitigating safety risks
Maintain standards related to CANDO, visual management, and operator preventative maintenance
Utilize TER methodologies to identify and communicate process improvement opportunities
Ensure adherence to company policies related to attendance, performance management, and workplace standards
Foster a culture of open communication, collaboration, and accountability
Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall business objectives
SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE
The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Success in this role requires a high level of attention to detail, ownership, and a proactive mindset, along with a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrates a strong, working knowledge of manufacturing operations, including production flow, scheduling, and cross‑functional dependencies
Proven ability to analyze and prioritize work, balancing customer demand, production capacity, and operational constraints
Solid understanding of supervisory and leadership techniques, with the ability to effectively influence, coach, and develop team members
Experience working across departments, with a collaborative mindset and the ability to align production, engineering, and support functions
Detail‑oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust quickly in a fast‑paced environment
Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, with a focus on driving efficiency and continuous improvement
Demonstrated ability to take ownership and lead through change, maintaining accountability for results
Preferred: Five (5) years of manufacturing experience, including at least three (3) years in a lead, scheduling, or supervisory role
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to effectively access and navigate all assigned work areas
Sufficient mobility and agility to observe production processes, including working around equipment, confined spaces, and varying access points as required
