    Description

    Value Stream Production Leader (Lean Manufacturing)

    Ready to lead a high-performing production value stream? If you thrive on organizing people, optimizing flow, and hitting plan, this role is for you.

    What you’ll do

    • Lead and develop hourly teams—coaching, counseling, and holding standards—to sustain a culture of performance and accountability.
    • Structure the shift to achieve output, quality, and safety targets; provide visible leadership on the floor.
    • Finish shift-end reports and all required records accurately and on time.
    • Keep the workplace safe, clean, and compliant with OSHA; embed 5S.
    • Ensure compliance with QS 9000, TS 16949, and ISO 14001 across your areas.
    • Escalate swiftly for safety, Q-stop quality issues, equipment downtime, materials shortages, and maintenance per the escalation process along the value stream.
    • Coordinate with the Team Leader to order materials proactively; serve as the backup for material ordering to avoid interruptions.
    • Oversee efficient, correct set-ups and changeovers to protect throughput and quality.
    • Advance training initiatives to upskill the team.
    • Partner with plant staff to drive CIP projects and measurable improvements.
    • Hit the shift build plan while adapting to changing priorities.
    • Other tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager.

    Who you’ll lead

    Production Associates and Team Leader(s) within assigned cells and work areas.

    What you bring

    • Bachelor’s degree and strong Leadership / People Management skills
    • Demonstrated Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing expertise
    • Hands-on exposure to HVAC/R Systems
    • CNC Programming and CNC Machine Installation familiarity
    • Production Optimization mindset and tools
    • Experience with ISO 9001; ISO 14001 familiarity
    • ERP & MRP proficiency for planning and execution
    • Production Planning & Scheduling and Inventory Management & Control
    • Scheduling Experience across multi-cell operations
    • Budgeting / Forecasting Experience
    • AS9100 Experience and ITAR Registration Experience
