Valve Assembly & Test Tech

Genesis is hiring experienced Valve Assembly & Test Techs. 

The Tester/Assembler is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting mechanical products and components according to blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards. This role uses hand and power tools, testing equipment, and various shop machinery to ensure products meet functional and performance requirements.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $19-$20/HR

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble products and components according to blueprints, routings, and specifications.
• Perform functional testing and document test results.
• Inspect parts and verify measurements meet required tolerances.
• Clean, assemble, disassemble, and replace components as needed.
• Deburr, grind, buff, crimp, and rivet parts.
• Use hand tools, power tools, adhesives, epoxies, and chemicals safely.
• Operate shop equipment, including grinders, belt sanders, drill presses, hydraulic presses, fixtures, and gauges.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment as required.
• Maintain testing equipment and ensure accuracy of test procedures.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Communicate work status, production issues, and progress to supervisors.
• While training candidates should be expect to help prep valves for paint, to use drills, hand/power tools to perform work.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of manufacturing or industrial assembly, or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read work instructions, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Physical Requirements
• Ability to work in a manufacturing/shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, odors, and fumes.
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the facility.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
