Job Title: Van Aide Rate of Pay: $18.81/Hourly Department: Transportation Schedule: TBD Position Overview: A Van Aide plays a pivotal role in a supported person’s life while being transported from their homes to our day program locations. The Van Aide will provide support to the Van Driver by monitoring the individuals, loading/uploading passengers, assisting with safety equipment (ex. fastening seatbelts), help maintain an orderly and efficient transportation process. Essential Job Functions:
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) Training and Experience: Preferred DDA core competencies, Mandt Systems Training, CPR / First Aid, MTTP Experience working with people with IDD/DD preferred but not required. Physical Requirements: A person must be able to walk, stand, and sit for up to 8 hours. A person must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. or more based on assigned supported person (using health and safety lifting / turning techniques or assistive devices). A person must be able to successfully demonstrate all Mandt Systems training physical interventions and techniques, to include assisting supported person to standing, providing assistance with ambulation, physical releases, and physical restraints.
