What You'll Do

As a Van Driver, you'll play an important role in helping Residents remain active, engaged, and connected to their community and healthcare needs.

  • Drive a van to pick up and transport Residents to predetermined destinations, including hospitals and doctor's offices, according to assigned schedules.
  • Assist Residents safely in and out of the vehicle.
  • Accompany Residents from the vehicle into the office, ensure they are properly signed in, and provide the receptionist with your cell phone number for pick-up notification.
  • Use a hands-free cell phone to communicate with the Transportation Supervisor and medical offices.
  • Fuel, clean, wash, and vacuum vehicles to ensure a safe and pleasant transportation experience.
  • Report vehicle concerns or maintenance issues to the Transportation Supervisor.
  • Record vehicle mileage daily.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

  • Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License
  • Previous bus or passenger driving experience (preferred)
  • Less than high school education, or up to 3–6 months related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong commitment to safety, dependability, and customer service
  • Ability to remain calm, attentive, and professional in all situations
  • Genuine desire to help others and provide exceptional service

Schedule

Part-Time: 24–29 hours per week

  • Occasional evening shifts (3:00 PM – 9:00 PM)
  • Weekends and holidays as needed
